Watou is a semi-hard cheese, creamy and mild in flavor, aged at least 4 weeks. The cheese is made from pasteurized cow's milk; Watou is the name of a picturesque village in the Westhoek, where art and regional specialties complement each other. The oldest history of the cheese factory in Moorslede goes back to the St-Bernardus dairy-brewery in Watou.
