Raw Goats Milk Cheddar is a sweet, fruity cheese made from raw goat milk, made by the LaClare Family Farm based in Wisconsin, USA since 1978. It can be used anywhere monterey jack is used. This goat's cheese is ripened for over three months and has an approximately a year’s shelf life. It is great for cheese boards, appetizers, in salads or shredding and melting. Also melt in grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, in burgers or pasta dishes. A great accompaniment for fruity white wines, dry reds, Champagne or Belgium Lagers.

My 4 year old started a club with me called “Secret Cheese Hunters.” So we will try a new cheese every week. She said this was yummy! I think it lacks the best parts of goat cheese and the best parts of cow’s cheddar. I’ll have no problem finishing the cheese we bought, but would probably not buy it again.

Had this cheese on a cheese board with parmesan, comte, and blue cheese, with an olympia provision sausage, caviar liver mousse, and some great wine. Nice, smooth, neutral addition to the powerful flavors of the board
