Started in 2014, both of the principals in the company had made cheese with other dairies before starting Tulip Tree. Milk comes from local farms. Fashioned after Alpine style cheeses on a smaller format. Aged 6-8 weeks, it has a natural rind and a semi-soft straw colored paste. A bit tangy and nutty with a hint of sweetness.
