This cheese comes from the coastal region between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais in the department of Nord-Pas-de –Calais. The cheese makers are the family Bernard de Wierre-Effroy where each member has a role to play from the looking after the herd, cheese making and marketing. The family keep a few rooms available where one can sleep and enjoy a evening of cheese and wine. The Cap Gris Nez is cheese that represents the cheeses made in the North of France such as the Thierache and the Maroilles. The taste is creamy and full of flavor.
